Seeing the Big Picture

Team member Amanda Bradley had this to say about the trip:
It has finally been impressed upon me that our team is like Joshua and Caleb, sent in by Moses to scout out the Promised Land. We will go in, see the giants, but see the overwhelming goodness that God has for us there as well, and we will go back to the elders and report what we have seen. Yes, we will be doing visible and tangible good works for this middle school and this area, but our experience will be our own lives changed, and the lives of the people we encounter through this trip- both in NYC and back here in TN. The actual physical labor we are doing is only a small part of the big picture. God has much bigger things for us I think, and I'm excited to see what that is.

  • Team...

I can honestly say it's hard for me to be in Nashville this week, but what a privilege it is to pray for you. Please know that you are in my thoughts/prayers consistently. As Paul writes (in my paraphrase of course)"only Christ can testify to how many times I make mention of you in my prayers..." With that being said

Jesus...be their center. Be their guide, and their boldness. Stretch, grow and multiply their strength, rest and integrity.

As they see your glory in the people of NYC may you fill their hearts with compassion.

To You who is able to do more than we ask or imagine. To You be all honor and glory in the Church of NYC and in the hearts of those serving there....amen!

    Love ya!
